You will hardly find any overweight person saying that s/he has never tried any method to reduce weight and all went in vain. Considering this; it must be noted that changes never take place in a day; we need to set small goals and follow them religiously. You need to keep on making small changes until you are able to take your life at the place where you want it to be.
Under mentioned are general but really effective tips that can help you in reducing weight but please note that change in body mass and look will not happen overnight. Remember “Patience Pays” 🙂 .
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day because it is calorie free and also a great source to flush out toxin. If possible boil water, let it cool down to room temperature and then store it for consumption. In order to add variety to the water consumption you can go for Coconut water.
  • Start your day with a glass of water i.e. as soon as you get up drink a glass of water and then start with your daily routine.
  • Keep distance from aerated drinks, sweets, chocolates, sugar free products. Sugar free products in long term harm body mechanism and one should always try not to fall prey to the false advertisements and claims of such products and companies.
  • Include fruits and vegetables with high water content in them such as tomatoes or watermelon.
  • If you have to have fruit juice; then go for fresh only. Fruits and fruit juice will add fiber which improves digestion.

  • Eat five servings of veggies and fruits in a day so that you get all required vitamins and antioxidants.
  • Eat small but frequent meals. This helps you in getting adequate calorie intake and keeping your blood sugar level balanced.
  • Try to purchase fresh food products instead of packaged or processed.
  • 1 Glass of milk everyday is must. You can opt for skimmed milk, soy milk or any low calorie milk.
  • Do not starve yourself. It never helps.
In the end, don’t put too much restriction on yourself. Allow yourself an intelligent indulgence in the food you love but keep watch over its frequency and quantity. Having a small portion of your favorite food once in a while is simply all right. Keep Healthy, Keep Fit!!
