Believe it or Not

“Believe it or Not” deals in weird events and items which are so unusual that one will find it almost impossible to believe. “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” is the most known franchise which is famous around the world. It was founded by Robert LeRoy Ripley. It got so much popular that it was later adapted in a number of formats such as radio, TV, a chain of museums and also a series of books.

Ripley hosted various short films on the series of Believe it or Not. Soon a film based on the life Robert Ripley will be released in the year 2011.

The series of Believe it or Not was first aired on television in the year 1949 which was hosted by Repley. But just after 13 episodes of the series, Ripley died and a number of his friends later hosted the program as his substitutes and the trend continues till 1950.  Later Ripley’s Believe it or Not was aired on the American channel ABC from 1982 to 1986.

In the year 1999, “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” appeared in the form of an animated series. Younger ones were the target audience of the series.

The most recent series of “Ripley’s Believe it or Not” which was based on the comic strip appeared in the year 2000 on TBS. in the year 2003, the series was cancelled after four seasons and today returns of the series are screened in countries like Australia.
