Delhi Development Authority {DDA} plays pivotal role to maintain balance and provide affordable housing at reasonable prices to all. There have been a lot of housing and developmental schemes introduced by DDA since it came into existence in 1957. Every time DDA announce schemes; plethora of forms are sold and deposited from natives all over the country due to the reasonable prices per square feet offered by authority to provide equal opportunities to all the natives with different level of incomes. DDA also offer quotas and special rebates for SC/ST, war widows, physically disabled etc.

Delhi Development Authority has also announced DDA Housing Scheme 2010 with a record breaking 16000 flats constructed by authority itself. The forms will be available in select banks since November 25th 2010. The last date of depositing the filled forms with the documents required is December 24th 2010.

• Vasant Kunj
• Gharoli
• Mukherjee Nagar
• Kondli
• Motia Khan
• Jaffarabad
• Jasola
• Narela
• Dwarka
• Sarai Khalil
• Kalyan Vihar
• Rohini
• Pitampura etc.

The lowest number of flats offered is 11 one bedroom flats at Vasant Kunj whereas the highest number of flats offered is 4260 at Rohini sector 28 and 29. The forms are available for Rs 105. The registration amount required is Rs. 1.5 Lacks except for one bedroom Janta category where only Rs 50,000 are required.

How to apply for DDA Housing Schemes::

Whenever a housing scheme is announced by DDA; all national newspapers publish the information with major details of the schemes. The brouchers of all the schemes are made available via Banks, DDA office, online through their website etc.
One can easily purchase the brochure and fill the form with the help of  instructions inside broucher and required documents. The brochures are very self explanatory. It is very important to deposit the duly filled form before or on the last date of submission released by the DDA.
Due to huge response and other factors sometimes the dates of submission get extended. Any news or update about the schemes are published in Newspapers as well as on DDA’s website.

Eligibility crieterion for applying DDA flats::

1. The applicant should be minimum 18 years of age.
2. One person is eligible to submit one application only.
3. It is indispensable for applicants to have a valid Bank Account and Pan Card.
4. In case both Husband and wife apply and also are successful in draw; only one will be allotted flat.

• For Schedule Tribes   7.5%
• For Schedule Cast      17%
• War Widows                1%
• Handicapped               1%
• Ex-Servicemen           1%

Details of Documents required for applying for DDA Housing Scheme::

General Category::
• Signed copy of PAN Card
• Signed copy of Bank Passbook or Bank Statement off your account.
• Signed copy of Residential Proof; for instance Passport, Telephone Bill, Electricity Bill, House Tax receipt, Election Card, Driving License etc. 

Reserved Category::
• For Handicapped Applicants:: Attested copy of disability certificate issued by Medical Board of Government Hospital.
• For War Widows:: Attested copy “Requisite Certificate” issued by  Ministry of Defense/Dept. of Defense.
• For Ex-Serviceman:: Attested copy of “Requisite Certificate” issued by concerned Ministry of Defense / Dept. of Defense.
• For SC/ST:: Attested copy of certificate issued by District Magistrate/Sub Divisional Magistrate of the concerned area.

Process of Draw and Allotment::

The draw date is also generally released at the time scheme is announced. The draw date for DDA Housing Scheme 2010 is not fixed but the authority has confirmed that the draw will be held within four months from the last date of acceptance of forms.

The authority will conduct computerized draw and the results will be published on their website. The successful candidates will then receive confirmation letter of allotment and the further procedure to be followed is mentioned in it. The unsuccessful candidates will get their registration fee back within a stipulated time.
